Celeste DeVaneaux

Celeste DeVaneaux is responsible for the design, vision and direction of Club One’s virtual worlds programs. A graduate of University of Washington’s Virtual World Program; Celeste brings 20 years experience in Information Technology, Quality Assurance, and Process Improvement to solve technically complex problems from organizational to global levels. Her focus in virtual worlds is in business strategy and design with an emphasis on health-related products.

She designed and improved health delivery models for Department of Veterans Affairs & world-wide payment processing for Department of Treasury before moving into the private sector. She is a guest lecturer at conferences and universities on the uses of virtual worlds and is partnered with a number of universities to study the impact of virtual environments on patient delivery models.

Celeste, partnered with Indiana University’s Anne Massey and Jeanne Johnson’s initial research has indicated that behaviour change programs delivered in a virtual environment can be more effective than behaviour change programs delivered in a traditional model.
