Tami Griffith

Program Manager for the Development of the Enhanced Dynamic Geo-specific Environment (EDGE) Massively Multi-Player Environment

Tami Griffith has the genuine pleasure of conducting research into the use of games and virtual worlds for learning as a Science and Technology Manager and Team Lead for the U.S. Army Research Lab, Simulation and Training Technology Center.  She initiated the Federal Virtual Worlds Challenge; which awards innovators as a means of discovering cutting edge virtual technology to expand current Federal Government capabilities in virtual environments.

She is the program manager for the development of the Enhanced Dynamic Geo-specific Environment (EDGE) Massively Multi-Player Environment that replicates the tactical environment using current interactive game technology.  Ms. Griffith is also currently exploring ways to improve a user's sense of presence using low-cost off-the-shelf technology including a brain computer interface.  Her overall goal is to improve the total user experience by leveraging emerging technology to improve Soldier learning.
